Coloring Hair Violet and Silver Blonde

A lot of people have been contacting me asking me about this violet and silver blonde hair color look.

Our model had come in with pre-lightened hair and she was looking for a change. We gave her the look that you see above.

Here's how to achieve this color result:

First, mix Ugly Duckling Violet with Intense Silver Blonde 100.20. The mox ration should be about half:half. Then put in your developer (we used 20 Vol. developer, and the mix ratio for Ugly Duckling Hair Color is 1 part color to 1 part developer).

Apply this mix on the roots. You can go out a little more or less depending on the look that you are trying to create.

After 10 minutes, make a fresh mix of Intense Silver Blonde 100.20 with 20 Vol. Developer. Apply to the mid-lengths and ends.

Let the colors develop - around 20 minutes should be fine.

Then emulsify, rinse and blow dry.

The great thing about Ugly Duckling hair colors is that the violet color does not bleed into the blonde, This is really critical if you are trying to achieve the result above.
